Welcome to Planet J (the "Platform"). The Platform is provided and controlled by LANGTAOJIN PTE.LTD. ("Langtaojin", "we" or "us"). We are committed to protecting and respecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy covers the experience we provide for users age 13 and over on our Platform. For information about our under-13 experience and our practices regarding children's privacy, please refer to our Privacy Policy for Younger Users.
Capitalized terms that are not defined in this policy have the meaning given to them in the Terms of Service.
1. WHAT INFORMATION DO WE COLLECT?
We collect information when you create an account or use the Platform. We also collect information you share with us from third-party social network providers, and technical and behavioral information about your use of the Platform. We also collect information contained in the messages you send through our Platform and, if you grant us access, information from your phone book on your mobile device. More information about the categories and sources of information is provided below.
1.1 Information you choose to provide
For certain activities, such as when you register, upload content to the Platform, or contact us directly, you may provide some or all of the following information
● Registration information, such as age, username and password, language, and email or phone number
● Profile information, such as name, social media account information, and profile image
● User-generated content, including comments, photographs, audio recordings, videos, and virtual item videos that you choose to create with or upload to the Platform ("User Content"). We collect User Content through pre-loading at the time of creation, import, or upload, regardless of whether you choose to save or upload that User Content, in order to recommend audio options and provide other personalized recommendations. If you apply an effect to your User Content, we may collect a version of your User Content that does not include the effect.
● Content, including text, images, and video, found in your device's clipboard, with your permission. For example, if you choose to initiate content sharing with a third-party platform, or choose to paste content from the clipboard into the Planet J App, we access this information stored in your clipboard in order to fulfill your request.
● Facial metadata generated from your user content is used to provide you with more suitable filters and better photo effects when the Application processes your photos. We also may use software on your face images to provide you with relevant features, such as generating cartoon avatar that looks similar to you, generating your images in different hairstyles, etc.
● Your phone and social network contacts, with your permission. If you choose to find other users through your phone contacts, we will access and collect the names and phone numbers and match that information against existing users of the Platform. If you choose to find other users through your social network contacts, we will collect your public profile information as well as names and profiles of your social network contacts
● Your opt-in choices and communication preferences
● Information to verify an account such as proof of identity or age
● Information in correspondence you send to us
● Information you share through surveys or your participation in challenges, sweepstakes, or contests such as your gender, age, likeness, and preferences.
1.2 Information we obtain from other sources
We may receive the information described in this Privacy Policy from other sources, such as:
● Social Media and Login Services. If you choose to link or sign up using a third-party social network or login service (such as Facebook, Apple and Google), we may collect information from these services, including your contact lists for these services and information relating to your use of the Platform in relation to these services. If you link your Planet J account to another service, we may receive information about your use of that service.
● Third-Party Services. We may collect information about you from third-party services, such as data providers and analytics providers.
● Other Users of the Platform. Sometimes other users of the Platform may provide us information about you, including through customer service inquiries.
● Other Sources. We may collect information about you from other publicly available sources.
● When you carry out transactions through our Platform or Site (where applicable) or with our authorized third-party payment service providers.
● Transaction information, including payment information where applicable and subject to applicable law.
1.3 Information we collect automatically
We automatically collect certain information from you when you use the Platform, including internet or other network activity information such as your IP address, unique device identifiers, browsing and search history (including content you have viewed in the Platform), and Cookies (as defined below).
● Usage Information. We collect information regarding your use of the Platform and any other User Content that you generate through or upload to our Platform.
● Device Information. We collect certain information about the device you use to access the Platform, such as your IP address, user agent, mobile carrier, time zone settings, identifiers for advertising purposes, model of your device, the device system, network type, device IDs, your screen resolution and operating system, app and file names and types, keystroke patterns or rhythms, battery state, audio settings and connected audio devices. Where you log-in from multiple devices, we will be able to use your profile information to identify your activity across devices. We may also associate you with information collected from devices other than those you use to log-in to the Platform.
● Image and Audio Information. We may collect information about the images and audio that are a part of your User Content, such as identifying the objects and scenery that appear, the existence and location within an image of face and body features and attributes, the nature of the audio, and the text of the words spoken in your User Content. We may collect this information to enable special video effects, for content moderation, for demographic classification, for content and ad recommendations, and for other non-personally-identifying operations. We may collect biometric identifiers and biometric information as defined under US laws, such as faceprints and voiceprints, from your User Content. Where required by law, we will seek any required permissions from you prior to any such collection.
● Messages. We collect and process, which includes scanning and analyzing, information you provide when you compose, send, or receive messages through the Platform's messaging functionality. That information includes the content of the message and information about when the message has been sent, received and/or read, as well as the participants of the communication. Please be aware that messages sent to other users of the Platform will be accessible by those users and that we are not responsible for the manner in which those users use or disclose messages.
● Cookies. We and our service providers and business partners use cookies and other similar technologies (e.g. web beacons, flash cookies, etc.) ("Cookies") to automatically collect information, measure and analyze which web pages and advertisements you click on and how you use the Platform, enhance your experience using the Platform, improve the Platform, provide you with advertising on the Platform and elsewhere across your devices, and measure the effectiveness of advertisements. Cookies enable the Platform to provide certain features and functionality. Web beacons are very small images or small pieces of data embedded in images, also known as "pixel tags" or "clear GIFs," that can recognize Cookies, the time and date a page is viewed, a description of the page where the pixel tag is placed, and similar information from your computer or device. We may aggregate or de-identify the information described above. Aggregated or de-identified data is not subject to this Privacy Policy.
2. HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION
2.1 We may collect, use, disclose and/or process your personal data for one or more of the following purposes:
● to consider and/or process your application with us or communications with third parties via the Services;
● to manage, operate, provide and/or administer your use of and/or access to our Services, Site and Games (including, without limitation, your preferences), as well as your relationship and user account with us;
● to respond to, process, deal with or complete a transaction and/or to fulfil your requests for certain products and services and notify you of service issues and unusual account actions;
● to enforce our Terms of Service or any applicable end user license agreements;
● to protect personal safety and the rights, property or safety of others;
● for identification and/or verification;
● to maintain and administer and improve any software updates and/or other updates, to support the Services, including to troubleshoot, report, or address any issues (e.g., to respond to errors or crash reports) that may be required from time to time to ensure the smooth running of the Games and/or our Services;
● to deal with or facilitate customer service, carry out your instructions, deal with or respond to any enquiries given by (or purported to be given by) you or on your behalf;
● to allow other users to interact, communicate, or connect with you, including to inform you when another user has sent you a private message or posted a comment for you on via the Games or Site;
● to conduct research, analysis and development activities (including, but not limited to, data analytics, surveys, product and service development and/or profiling), to analyses how you use our Services, to improve our Services or products and/or to enhance your customer experience;
● to allow other audits and surveys to,(via offline and online surveys, including on third parties platforms (e.g. Google Forms), among other things, validate the size and composition of our target audience, and understand their experience with Langtaojin's Services;
● for marketing and, advertising for any marketing activities where permissible under applicable law, and in this regard, to recommend products and/or services relevant to your interests, to send you by various mediums and modes (including email or SMS) of communication marketing and promotional information and materials relating to products and/or services (including, without limitation, products and/or services of third parties whom Langtaojin may collaborate or tie up with) that Langtaojin (and/or its affiliates or related corporations) may be selling, marketing or promoting, whether such products or services exist now or are created in the future. You can unsubscribe from receiving marketing information at any time by using the unsubscribe function within the electronic marketing material. We may use your contact information to send newsletters or marketing materials from us and from our related companies;
● to produce statistics and research for internal and statutory reporting and/or record-keeping requirements;
● to carry out due diligence or other screening activities (including, without limitation, background checks) in accordance with legal or regulatory obligations or our risk management procedures that may be required by law or that may have been put in place by us;
● to audit our Services or Langtaojin"s business;
● to prevent or investigate any actual or suspected violations of our Terms of Service, fraud, unlawful activity, omission or misconduct, whether relating to your use of our Services or any other matter arising from your relationship with us;
● to store, host, back up (whether for disaster recovery or otherwise) of your personal data, whether within or outside of your jurisdiction;
● to deal with and/or facilitate a business asset transaction or a potential business asset transaction, where such transaction involves Langtaojin as a participant or involves only a related corporation or affiliate of Langtaojin as a participant or involves Langtaojin and/or any one or more of Langtaojin"s related corporations or affiliates as participant(s), and there may be other third party organizations who are participants in such transaction. A "business asset transaction" refers to the purchase, sale, lease, merger, amalgamation or any other acquisition, disposal or financing of an organization or a portion of an organization or of any of the business or assets of an organization; and/or
● to verify your qualification and/or to submit your application/request when you register for participation in the game specific contests, events or tournaments, and to give you rewards where applicable; and
● other purposes which are permissible under applicable law and which we notify you of at the time of obtaining your consent. (collectively, the "Purposes").
2.2 You acknowledge, consent and agree that Langtaojin may access, preserve and disclose your Account information and Content if required to do so by law or pursuant to an order of a court or by any governmental or regulatory authority having jurisdiction over Langtaojin or in a good faith belief that such access preservation or disclosure is reasonably necessary to:
● comply with legal process;
● comply with a request from any governmental or regulatory authority having jurisdiction over Langtaojin,
● enforce the Langtaojin Terms of Service or this Privacy Policy;
● respond to any threatened or actual claims asserted against Langtaojin or other claim that any Content violates the rights of third parties;
● respond to your requests for customer service;
● protect the rights, property or personal safety of Langtaojin, its users and/or the public.
2.3 As the purposes for which we will/may collect, use, disclose or process your personal data depend on the circumstances at hand, such purpose may not appear above. However, we will notify you of such other purpose at the time of obtaining your consent, unless processing of the applicable data without your consent is permitted by the Privacy Laws.
3. HOW WE SHARE YOUR INFORMATION
We will not transfer your Personal Information to third parties except as specified below, or where you consent to such transfer. Only where necessary will we share your information with selected recipients, including:
3.1 Service providers. We engage service providers to supply services to support or improve Planet J. Service providers are required to provide the same or equal protection of user data as stated in this Privacy Policy and are prohibited from retaining, using, or disclosing your information except as necessary to provide services to us;
3.2 Third party services. When you:
● log in to Planet J using third party authentication services;
● share content from Planet J to third party services;
● share content on Planet J from third party services;
● access content of non-Planet J third party services from Planet J; or
● link your Planet J contact list with your list on third party services,
we may receive information about you from such third party services and/or share your information with such third party services.
Third party services may collect information (including personal information and log data), and set cookies on your device. This Privacy Policy only applies to information collected by us, and does not apply to information collected by third parties.
3.3 Government, public, regulatory, judicial and law enforcement bodies or authorities. There are circumstances in which we are legally required to disclose your information, including
● to comply with a legal obligation or request, such as a court order, subpoena or other legal process,
● to enforce our terms,
● to address issues relating to security or fraud,
where there is an imminent emergency involving risk of death, serious physical injury to a person or any risk of harm to a child, and in both cases, provided that the requesting entity has valid jurisdiction to obtain your Personal Information. Contact us for details at: service@ltjmeta.com
4. YOUR RIGHTS
4.1 You may submit a request to access or delete the information we have collected about you by sending your request to us at the email provided in the Contact section at the bottom of this policy. You may be entitled, in accordance with applicable law, to submit a request through an authorized agent. To designate an authorized agent to exercise choices on your behalf, please provide evidence that you have given such agent power of attorney or that the agent otherwise has valid written authority to submit requests to exercise rights on your behalf. We will respond to your request consistent with applicable law and subject to proper verification. We will verify your request by asking you to send it from the email address associated with your account or to provide information necessary to verify your account. We do not discriminate based on the exercise of any privacy rights that you might have.
5. YOUR CHOICES
5.1 You may be able to control some of the information we collect by adjusting your browser settings to refuse or disable Cookies. Because each browser is different, please consult the instructions provided by your browser. Please note that you may need to take additional steps to refuse or disable certain types of Cookies. In addition, your choice to disable cookies is specific to the particular browser or device that you are using when you disable cookies, so you may need to separately disable cookies for each type of browser or device. If you choose to refuse, disable, or delete Cookies, some of the functionality of the Platform may no longer be available to you. Without this information, we are not able to provide you with all the requested services.
5.2 Your device may have controls that determine what information we collect or how we can use that information. For example, you can control whether we can use your mobile advertising identifier for advertising through settings on your Apple and Android devices.
5.3 If you previously chose to share precise location information, you can prevent your device from sharing precise location information (e.g. GPS location information) with the Platform at any time through your device's operating system settings.
If you have registered for an account, you may access, review, and update certain personal information that you have provided to us by logging into your account and using available features and functionalities.
6. SECURITY AND STORAGE
6.1 We use reasonable measures to help protect information from loss, theft, misuse and unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction. You should understand that no data storage system or transmission of data over the Internet or any other public network can be guaranteed to be 100 percent secure. Please note that information collected by third parties may not have the same security protections as information you submit to us, and we are not responsible for protecting the security of such information.
6.2 Third parties with whom Langtaojin may share your data as described herein may be located inside the United States or in a third country.
7. CHILDREN
7.1 The privacy of users under the age of 13 ("Younger Users") is important to us. As a user you are entitled to additional protections for your information and privacy online. When you register an account with Planet J, we make sure your account is set to a restrictive mode, which means that you won't have access to certain features, such as social media links, if you are not 13 or over and your text filtering will be restricted. These additional measures are in place to keep you as safe as possible online.
7.2 If your parent or guardian's email address is provided to us when you create an account on , we may share information about your account with them by email. We can also invite your parent or guardian to review or update settings and approve your account.
7.3 If you or your parents or guardian would like more information about the restrictive account mode, please review Policy for Younger Users.
7.4 The Platform otherwise is not directed at children under the age of 13. If we become aware that personal information has been collected on the Platform from a person under the age of 13 we will delete this information and terminate the person's account. 8. CHANGES
8.1 We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we update the Privacy Policy, we will notify you by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy and posting the new Privacy Policy and providing any other notice required by applicable law. We recommend that you review the Privacy Policy each time you visit the Platform to stay informed of our privacy practices.
